TABLES OF COMPARISON OF SELECTED SCRIPTURES AFFECTING FUNDAMENTAL DOCTRINES OF THE CHRISTIAN FAITH

KING JAMES VERSION
ENGLISH REVISED VERSION
NEW AMERICAN STANDARD BIBLE
NEW INTERNATIONAL VERSION
NEW KING JAMES VERSION

The categories of tables were selected to represent the most significant areas of change in modern translations which affect fundamental Christian doctrine. This listing is only a portion of the overwhelming number of alterations to essential doctrines.

1. THE DEITY OF JESUS CHRIST

“Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: but made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men.” (Philippians 2:5-7)

Modifications to key verses such as this one and others containing titles of the Lord Jesus Christ denigrate the doctrine of His deity.

2. THE INCARNATION

“And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.” (I Timothy 3:16)

New versions change “God” to “He” in this verse and omit other references to Jesus Christ coming in the flesh.

3. THE VIRGIN BIRTH

“BEHOLD, A VIRGIN SHALL BE WITH CHILD, AND SHALL BRING FORTH A SON, AND THEY SHALL CALL HIS NAME EMMANUEL, which being interpreted is, God with us. Then Joseph being raised from sleep did as the angel of the Lord had bidden him, and took unto him his wife: and knew her not till she had brought forth her firstborn son; and he called his name JESUS.” (Matthew 1:23-25)

In the prophecy as it was originally given in Isaiah 7:14, the Revised Standard Version changes “virgin” to “young woman” and the NASB has “maiden” in a footnote. In Matthew 1:25, new versions change “her firstborn son” to “birth to a son”, casting doubt upon the virginity of Mary at Jesus’ birth.

Other verses are changed to indicate that Jesus was born of an earthly father. These alterations deny the role of the Holy Spirit in the conception of Jesus Christ and, therefore, His divine nature.

4. THE SUBSTITUTIONARY ATONEMENT

“Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son: In whom we have redemption through his blood, eventhe forgiveness of sins.” (Colossians 1:13,14)

New versions remove reference to the blood atonement in this and other verses. Words are also omitted or changed which show that the sacrificial death of Jesus Christ is the full atonement for our sins.

5. THE RESURRECTION

“Now when Jesus was risen early the first day of the week, he appeared first to Mary Magdalene…After that he appeared in another form unto two of them, as they walked, and went into the country . . .Afterward he appeared unto the eleven as they sat at meat, and upbraided them with their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they believed not them which had seen him after he was risen.” (Mark 16:9,12,14)

New versions isolate Mark 16:9-20 with the misleading disclaimer that it is not contained in the earliest manuscripts. They also question almost every appearance of Jesus after his resurrection, causing doubts concerning His bodily resurrection and deity.

6. THE ASCENSION

“So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God.” (Mark 16:11)

The ascension proves that Jesus Christ is now in heaven. Almost every mention of the ascension is omitted in some new versions.

7. THE TRINITY

“For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.” (I John 5:7)

This is the famous Trinitarian proof text which F.J.A. Hort hoped to remove from the New Greek Text (see Life and Letters of Fenton John Anthony Hort).

It is missing from the New Greek New Testament Text, the English Revised Version and most modern translations.

8. JUSTIFICATION BY FAITH IN JESUS CHRIST ALONE

“And Philip said, ‘If thou believest with all thine heart, thou mayest. And he answered and said, I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.” (Acts 8:37)

New versions omit this verse and alter others to change justification by faith to salvation through works. Many versions delete “by himself” in Hebrews 1:3 to permit faith in another mediator, such as Mary. The omission of “on me” in John 6:47 allows any belief.

9. INERRANCY OF SCRIPTURE

“The words of the Lord are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times. Thou shalt keep them, O Lord, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever.” (Psalm 12:6,7)

In this important verse, new versions change “them” referring to the Scriptures to “us” referring to people. Other alterations and omissions diminish the authority of Scripture and discourage confidence in its divine inspiration and preservation.

10. MASCULINE DEITY

“He that believeth on me, believeth not on me, but on him that sent me. And he that seeth me seeth him that sent me. (John 12:44,45)

New versions frequently change masculine words referring to God to the neuter “One”. False religions of this world often identify their god as “the One”. The new “Politically Correct” bible calls God, “Father-Mother”, and Christ, “the human one.” (41)

11. SATAN

“How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning, how thou art cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations.” (Isaiah 14:12)

“I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star.” (Revelation 22:16)

In the only passage of Scripture which describes Lucifer’s iniquity and fall into hell, most new versions omit the name Lucifer and confuse his identity with Jesus Christ.

12. MAN

“What is man, that thou art mindful of him? And the son of man, that thou visitest him? For thou hast made him a little lower than the angels, and hast crowned him with glory and honour. (Psalm 8:4,5)

New versions exalt man to being “a little lower than God” and omit many references to his fallen spiritual condition. Cults, the New Age and false religions also raise mankind to the level of being divine or in the process of evolving into gods. (42)

13. SANCTIFICATION

“That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.” (II Timothy 3:17)

15. THE SECOND COMING OF JESUS CHRIST

“This same Jesus which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.” (Acts 1:11)

Important references to the Second Coming of Jesus Christ to establish His reign upon earth are often omitted in the new versions. The New Age Movement, cults and apostate religions believe that “the Christ” is already on the earth and will soon be revealed. (43)

“Yet it pleased the Lord to bruise him; he hath put him to grief; when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of the Lord shall prosper in his hand.” (Isaiah 53:10)

New versions change “sin” to “guilt” in this important verse, thus relieving man of his accountability and placing the blame on God.

Rewording of I John 5:19 blames the devil for sin, as did Eve. Modern psychology in the church reflects this propensity to transfer responsibility for sin rather than to repent. New versions alter many verses pertaining to sin in order to present it in less relevant, personal and severe terms.

“And whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear you, when ye depart thence, shake off the dust from under your feet for a testimony against them. Verily I say unto you, it shall be more tolerable for Sodom and Gomorrha in the Day of Judgment, than for that city.” (Mark 6:11)

References to a final Day of Judgment are often missing in new versions. New Age prophets teach that, since God is love, He does not judge anyone. Belief in a literal hell and fear of God’s judgment are both foolishness and an offense to modern man.

SCRIPTURE CHANGES IN MODERN VERSIONS WHICH AFFECT THE INTERPRETATION OF BIBLE PROPHECY

Who will soon come to establish His Millennial Kingdom?

The NASB and NIV remove references to the Second Coming of Jesus Christ. Matthew 24:24 says:

“There shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if itwere possible, they shall deceive the very elect.”

Many shall come in Jesus’ name, claiming that they will establish the kingdom of God preceding or in the place of Jesus Christ.

What will happen just prior to Jesus Christ’s return?

II Thessalonians 2:3-12 foretells that many will fall away from or deny the true faith, “the truth” (v. 10) that God became man in Jesus Christ. They will worship a counterfeit Christ who is Satan incarnate, while under a strong delusion that mankind is being transformed into gods. New version terms “rebellion,” “lawlessness” and “destruction” may be applied to those who oppose this antichrist system.

How are we to prepare for the Second Coming of Jesus Christ?

Jesus gives his disciples instructions to “watch and pray,” as He did Peter, “that ye enter not into temptation.” Those who do not heed this warning will fall away and will be not counted worthy to escape the judgment that is coming upon all those who dwell on the earth.

How will the Antichrist be recognized?

The spirit of antichrist does not confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh, but believes that Christ comes as the “universal consciousness” of the divine spirit within each person. The Antichrist exalts himself above God and will exterminate many through an artifice of “peacemaking,” be a practitioner of witchcraft or “the Craft” (Freemasonry) and will worship “the force” of pagan religions.

What is the mark, the name and the number of the Beast?

The NASB and NIV do not clearly differentiate between the mark, the name and the number of the Beast. Please refer to the Watch Unto Prayer report on The Mark of the Beast, which provides convincing evidence that the Beast is the Assyrian-Babylonian god, Saturn, whom the apostate Israelites worshipped as Remphan (Acts 7:37-43). The name of blasphemy is the Tetragrammaton (YHWH, aka Yeshua) and the mark is the Six-Pointed Star or the Star of David.

What is MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT?

Mystery Babylon is both a city and a religious system. New versions change the punctuation of Revelation 17:9,10 to confuse the identity of the “city of seven hills,” which is Rome. Revelation 14:8 and 17:18 are references to “that” great city mentioned in 17:9. In 17:5, the NASB transfers the key word “Mystery” from the literal name on her forehead to a descriptive phrase declaring the name “a mystery,” or knowledge not revealed to man. This changes the interpretation by removing its association with the mystery religion of ancient Babylon from which Freemasonry, which is based on The Kabbalah, ultimately derives. It is well-documented that Freemasonry has infiltrated and now controls the Vatican.

Has God preserved His Word? The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times. Thou shalt keep them, O LORD, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever. (Psalm 12:6-7)

Is the King James Bible Inspired Or Preserved?

By David J. Stewart | March 2009 | Updated September 2016

“Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible,
by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.”
—1st Peter 1:23

Both! The precious King James Bible is BOTH inspired and preserved. There are some teachers today who say that the King James Bible is not preserved. There are others who say that the King James Bible is not inspired. And some teachers deny both preservation and inspiration. Without a doubt this is a delicate and sensitive issue in churches today, because the Bible is the greatest number one threat to Satan. Yet, if we’re wrong on the Bible as born-again Christians, then we’re wrong on everything else. There is a raging battle today over the King James Bible.

You don’t have to read very far in contemporary, fundamentalist, Baptist literature to come across scoffers who attack the King James only” position and degrade those of us who would dare call the King James Bible “inspired.” Well, bless God, it’s inspired Word for Word!

  • Dr. Jerry Falwell announced that he had hired Dr. Harold Rawlings to “refute the ‘King James Only’ cultic movement that is damaging so many good churches today.”
  • Dr. Robert Sumner warns about the “veritable fountain of misinformation and deceptive double talk on the subject of ‘King James Onlyism.’”
  • Dr. J. B. Williams refers to those who advocate the King James Only as “misinformers” and as “a cancerous sore.
  • Dr. Robert Joyner calls King James Bible loyalists, “heretics.”
  • Dr. James R. White warns about King James Bible proponents undercutting the very foundations of the faith itself.
  • And now in 2009 an influential pastor of one of America’s largest Independent Fundamental Baptist Churches is calling us “careless Bible students” and “ignorant” for saying that the King James Bible is inspired. How tragic!

I just don’t get it. Why would any Christian leader shake his congregation’s faith in the Word of God? If the Bible that we hold in our hands is not inspired, then let’s just throw it into the garbage and go buy the latest New York Times Bestseller to read instead. Thank God for Dr. Jack Hyles who upheld the King James Bible as inerrant and perfect…

“I must have every Word if I speak His message. If I didn’t think I had a perfect Bible I’d close this one, walk out that door, I’d never walk in the pulpit again.” Dr. Jack Hyles

The 54 King James Bible translators (47 did the actual work of translating) were a collection of some of the world’s best scholars. They approached this translation with the mindset that they were translating the very Words of God, not just some book. The King James Bible has been called “the monument of English prose” as well as “the only great work of art ever created by a committee.” Howbeit, the question is raised, is the King James Bible inspired? I say, yes, absolutely, and it is self evident.

We must begin with the Scriptures themselves, for Jesus commanded in John 5:39… SEARCH THE SCRIPTURES!

2nd Timothy 3:16 proclaims, “ALL SCRIPTURE is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.” Some teachers lift out the words “is given,” claiming that only the original autographs given by God were inspired. I have a serious problem with that, because God promised to PRESERVE His Word in Psalm 12:6,7, “The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified SEVEN TIMES. Thou shalt keep them, O LORD, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever.”

For someone to say that God preserves His Word without inspiration is akin to saying that God preserves our salvation without the Holy Spirit. It just doesn’t set right. The very notion that a translation does not contain the inspired Words of God is disturbing indeed. And if a translation DOES contain the inspired Words of God, then it is divinely inspired.

Here is an excellent quote from Dr. Shelton Smith of the Sword Of The Lord…

“God has preserved His inspired Word for us. It is preserved in the Hebrew Masoretic text and in the Greek Textus Receptus. It is also preserved for us in the English in the King James Bible. What He at first inspired, the Lord God has now preserved. Therefore, when I hold the King James Bible in my hand, I hold the inspired text. It was inspired and now that inspired Word has been protected, preserved and provided for us!”

SOURCE: What Is That Book You Hold In Your Hand?, by Dr. Shelton Smith, editor, Sword of the Lord.

Yes, I agree! How could God’s preserved Word not be inspired? If God has kept His promise to PRESERVE His Word (and He has!), then those Words must also maintain their inspiration. To say that onlythe originals (also know as the “autographs”) were inspired is to say that we do not have God’s inspired Word for today, which means that we cannot claim 2nd Timothy 3:16. If the man of God is to be “perfect,” then he absolutely MUST have the “inspired” Words of God to profit him.

It is expected for unsaved heathens to claim that mortal men authored the Bible. Yet, how sad it is when Gospel preachers agree with them by saying that flawed men wrote flawed translations which are flawed. How can any believer who loves the Lord feel confident if they are taught that the Bible they love, cherish and obey is imperfect? They cannot. It is a woeful injustice to rob a church congregation of their faith in God’s Word by diminishing the inerrancy and inspiration of the King James Bible. God has preserved His Word for the English-speaking people in the King James Bible, and it does not contain errors. Volumes of books have been written addressing alleged discrepancies and so-called mistranslations in the King James Bible. Ultimately, critics of the King James Bible find themselves barking up an empty tree.

Dr. Jack Hyles (1926-2001) believed that the King James Bible is inspired. The following quote is taken from his book, The Need for an Every-Word Bible, page 54…

“I’m tired of colleges and universities advertising that they use the King James Bible. Tell the whole story! Tell everyone that you do not believe that it is inspired word for word.” —Dr. Jack Hyles

A friend of mine who used to teach martial arts taught his students, “Practice does not make you perfect, perfect practice makes you perfect.” When he told me that I immediately thought about the King James Bible, because an imperfect Bible can only produce imperfect children. Corruption can only bring forth corruption. Jesus said an evil tree can only bring forth evil fruit. The reason why the King James Bible has been so successful over the centuries in getting people saved is because it is God’s inspired, infallible, inerrant and preserved Word.

King James Bible Inspiration
(a great MP3 defense of the Christian faith by Pastor David Baker)

The Words Of The King James Translators

The King James translators humbly stated that their work may contain “imperfections and blemishes.” Remember, this is THEIRopinion of THEIR best efforts to better the Word of God in English. We must not forget that GOD PROMISED TO PRESERVE HIS WORD and was overseeing the work . . .

“No cause therefore why the word translated should be denied to be the word, or forbidden to be current, notwithstanding that some imperfections and blemishes may be noted in the setting forth of it. For whatever was perfect under the Sun, where Apostles or Apostolic men, that is, men endued with an extraordinary measure of God’s spirit, and privileged with the privilege of infallibility, had not their hand?” [emphasis added]

In Exodus 4:10 we find Moses lacking confidence in his own communication skills, and yet God used Moses to author the first five books of the Old Testament, “And Moses said unto the LORD, O my Lord, I am not eloquent, neither heretofore, nor since thou hast spoken unto thy servant: but I am slow of speech, and of a slow tongue.” Clearly, Moses did not feel qualified to relay God’s Word to the people. The humility of the King James translators does not in any way mean that God wasn’t in complete control of the work they did. They prayerfully and diligently labored to give us the King James Bible.

Dr. Samuel Gipp states in favor of the King James Bible being inspired . . .

QUESTION: Did the translators of the Authorized Version claim to be inspired by God?

ANSWER: No. But Biblically that does not mean that they could not have been inspired. [emphasis added]

Does this mean that, because they did not claim God’s hand in translating the Scripture that He could not be or was not in control of their commission? For the answer we must look to the Bible, our final authority in all matters of faith and practice.

When John the Baptist was accosted by the Levites in John chapter one and asked if he was Elijah (John 1:21) he answered that he was
not Elijah. Yet in Matthew chapters 11:7-14 and 17:10-13 Jesus Christ plainly stated that John was Elijah.

Did John the Baptist lie? No. Did Jesus Christ lie? Of course not. The answer is very simply that John wasElijah but he didn’t know it! Thus we see from our Bible example that a man can have God working through him and not know it. Likewise, God could easily have divinely directed the King James translators without their active knowledge.

SOURCE: THE ANSWER BOOK, chapter 14, by Dr. Samuel C. Gipp, Th.D.

I say, most definitely, yes, God was in control of the King James Bible committee and the Words of the King James Bible are inspired. This is not “double inspiration.” That is, God did not give His Words afresh to the King James translators. It simply means that God’s Words are inspired and always will be inspired, no matter what language they are translated into.

In 1st Corinthians 7:6 the Apostle Paul said, “But I speak this by permission, and not of commandment.” Paul felt that he was merely giving his personal opinion in this portion of Scripture, rather than writing what God had commanded him to; yet we know from 2nd Timothy 3:16 that, “ALL SCRIPTURE is given by inspiration of God.” Paul’s writings in the Bible are all inspired by God, because Paul was only the pen which God used to give us His Words.

God is the Author of the entire Bible. God used imperfect men to write His perfect Word, by putting His Words into their mouth. God made unholy men holy for His purpose. So it matters not that Moses was not eloquent in speech, nor that Paul gave his personal opinion in 1st Corinthians chapter 7, nor that the King James translators acknowledged that they were only imperfect men—What’s important is that God’s Words will forever be incorruptible, settled in Heaven, preservedAND INSPIRED.

“One Book Stands Alone encourages believers to stand by the one and only inspired book of God, the King James Bible. Dr. Douglas Stauffer

Some scholars today claim that God has only preserved His Word in the original languages; but the Bible does not teach that. It is self-evident that God has chosen America as the citadel of Christianity over the past 100 years to the world, having sent out millions of foreign missionaries with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Heresy went East, but truth went West. I believe God has preserved His inspired Word in the English-speaking language in the King James Bible. I do not believe that the King James Bible is merely a superb translation or the best manuscript available in English.

I believe it is God’s inspired, inerrant, infallible, impeccable and preserved Word. 1st Peter 1:23 plainly states that sinners are “Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.” This means we need an incorrupt Bible! It is sad that preachers don’t start doubting the Word of God until they go to seminary. Maybe we should call them preacher cemeteries.

“The only inspired Words of God are in the King James Bible!”
—Dr. Jack Hyles (an awesome quote from the classic MP3 sermon titled, “THE REAL BATTLE!”)

The King James Bible was the finished product of SEVEN revisions. Interestingly, “The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified SEVEN TIMES. Thou shalt keep them, O LORD, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever.” Notice that God said His Word is “pure,” as pure as silver refined seven times. (the number seven in the Bible represents God’s perfection.) We have God’s perfect Word in the English language in the King James Bible. Amen! It is the manuscript God wanted us to have to fellowship with Him and do the work of soulwinning.

The King James translators said they weren’t trying to make a new translation of the Bible; but rather, a good one better…

“Truly (good Christian Reader) we never thought from the beginning, that we should need to make a new Translation, nor yet to make of a bad one a good one, (for then the imputation of Sixtus had been true in some sort, that our people had been fed with gall of Dragons instead of wine, with whey instead of milk:) but to make a good one better, or out of many good ones, one principal good one, not justly to be excepted against; that hath been our endeavor, that our mark.”

If one truly believes that a sovereign God is able to work in the hearts of men to do His will, and if one believes that God has kept His promise to preserve His Word, and if one considers that the mightiest soul-winning men of God over the past four centuries have preached from the King James Bible, it is self-evident that God has given to us the King James Bible. Is God incapable of preserving His Word without mistakes? Of course! If, as some claim, the Bible is only preserved in the original languages today, then we do not have an English Bible in America? Which means we are hopelessly destitute.

If the King James Bible is less than perfect, then why even preach from it? Why preach from an imperfect Word? If the King James Bible is imperfect, then what are you doing using it? If the King James Bible is imperfect, then so is everything you teach from it. I mean, if the King James Bible has hundreds of problems with it as many preachers are claiming today, let’s throw our Bible into the garbage. A pastor who places a question mark on the King James Bible is no better than Satan who weakened Eve’s faith when he asked her, “Yea, hath God said?” (Genesis 3:1c).

Matthew 4:4, “But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.” If we are to live by “every Word,” then we need an every Word Bible. I believe the King James Bible to be that every Word Bible, preserved and inspired by God.

Some preacher says that the Bible is only for the scholarly and studious. No, the Bible is for anyone who wants to pick it up and use it, read it and hear it.

“The King James Bible crowd is going to come out on top!”
—Dr. Jack Hyles (an awesome quote from the classic MP3 sermon titled, “THE BATTLE OF THE AGES!”)

In Preservation, We Have the Originals

The Bible doesn’t say that the man of God needs the “preserved” Words of God to profit him; but rather, the “Scripture given by inspiration of God.” People talk about the “originals,” but according to Psalm 12:6,7 we have the originals. Psalm 12:6,7, “The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times. Thou shalt keep them, O LORD, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever.” God didn’t promise in Psalm 12:6,7 to renew or republish His Words. No, rather, God promised to PRESERVE His Words, “as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times.”

What we hold in our hands today in the form of the King James Bible is the PRESERVED inspired originals, which means the King James Bible has to be inspired. God’s Word has been preserved. If the King James Bible is not inspired, then God did not preserve His Word, because His Word is inspired. Preservation MUST include inspiration if it is genuine preservation.

The word “preserve” in Psalm 12:7 means “to maintain.” Hence, God has maintained His inspired Word unto all generations, as He so promised, which means that those Words must remain inspired.

Psalm 119:89 proclaims, “For ever, O LORD, Thy word is settled in heaven.” Notice that the originals are in Heaven. Before God ever spoke the universe into existence, the final Word of Revelation was already recorded in Heaven. Some Biblical scholars claim that the original manuscripts are only existent in the Greek, Hebrew and Aramaic languages; but it is not a language that God promised to inspire, it is HIS WORDS. It is the “Words” of the Lord that are pure. God Words are inspired, no matter what language they are translated into. The text of our beloved King James Bible are the inspired Words of God.

Please Don’t Drop My Food On the Floor

For any preacher to speak bad about the King James Bible, while simultaneously speaking about how wonderful it is, is akin to dropping someone’s food on the floor and then serving it to them on a plate. The same way most people would feel eating a steak that has just been dropped onto a dirty floor is the same way many church members feel when their pastor teaches them from a Bible which he claims is imperfect. Either we have God’s preserved, inspired, inerrant, infallible Word in the English-speaking language, or we do not. The Bible is our spiritual milk, bread and meat. I don’t know about you, but most people prefer not to have their food tampered with before they eat it. So keep your stinking feet out of my drinking water and my food.

No pastor should ever shake his congregation’s faith in the King James Bible, even in the slightest way. The average uneducated layman in the pew needs to hear his pastor uphold the King James Bible as God’s Word. To fail to do so is a grave injustice against the common man. The average believer will NEVER understand Greek or Hebrew and it is a woeful injustice to place that kind of a burden upon humble church people, i.e., telling them that they cannot understand the Bible without learning Greek and Hebrew. Childlike faith only requires a childlike understanding of the Bible.

Do not tell me that a child cannot understand the Bible to get saved. Do not tell me that those with learning disabilities must understand the Greek to be saved. Do not tell me that a humble sinner, who only has a third grade education, cannot receive and experience sweet fellowship with Jesus Christ without learning Hebrew. Bless God, if the King James Bible was good enough for mama, it’s good enough for us too! If the King James Bible was good enough for Dwight L. Moody and Billy Sunday, bless God, it’s good enough for us too!

“They’re taking the pure Word of God and changing it for a buck and changed it for a dollar. So-called Christian colleges, take your stinking feet out of the Word of God! Quit serving dirty water! So-called Christian seminaries with your intelligencia, which is nothing more than stupidity hiding behind the guise of scholarship, you keep your stinking feet out of my drinking water! Dr. Custer of Bob Jones University, who says that there is no perfect Bible in the English language, you keep you stinking feet out of my drinking water! Greek scholars, so-called, self-styled Greek scholars, who are only called ‘Greek scholars’ by other Greek scholars, you keep your stinking feet out of my drinking water! … I am so sick of these guys that go to an institution. I’ve got more respect for a State university professor who says there’s no Word of God, than I have for a man who’ll hide behind the sacred desk and change God’s blessed Book.”Dr. Jack Hyles

Dr. Lee Roberson (1909-2007) believed that the King James Bible is inspired. In his sermon, HAVE FAITH IN GOD, he made the following statement concerning his text verse, Mark 11:22, “And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God” Pastor Roberson referred to the King James Bible as “these inspired words.” Amen. There are some preachers today who deny the inspiration of our precious King James Bible. It is apostasy. Thank God for Dr. Roberson’s faith in the King James Bible as God’s inspired, inerrant, infallible, impeccable and preserved Words of God.

“Whether in sunshine or rain, it will help us to have these inspired words before us: HAVE FAITH IN GOD.”

In defense of the inspired and preserved King James Bible, the following quotes are taken from the excellent sermon by Pastor Jack Hyles, LOGIC MUST PROVE THE KING JAMES BIBLE

I have Mama’s Bible—the same one she read—in my office. I’ve had it there for years. I don’t know how old it is, but I suspect it is 55 or 60 years old. It is the same Bible she used to hold up. I was thumbing through it the other day. On the inside, it says on the title page, “King James Bible.” That’s what it says. You know it worked. It’s amazing how well Mama did before she found out that it wasn’t the Word of God.

It is amazing how well this nation did when we didn’t know how ignorant we were. (Are you listening?) This is my fifth pastorate. I’ve seen miracles in my pastorates. I’ve preached over 41,000 times, and I’ve never yet preached a sermon that wasn’t preached from the King James Bible.

It bothers me when people say, “We believe that the Bible, in the original manuscripts, is the Word of God.” If that’s true, we have no Bible. Did you hear what I said? We have no Bible.

We need a Bible that we can understand and a Bible that is God’s Word. It looks like anybody would agree that if God gives us the command to preach the Word, He would give us the Word to preach. That’s logical. If God wants to say to a nation, “You are the custodian of world evangelization for a generation or two or three or four,” it looks like God would give that nation the Word of God.

What is it? I would say it ought to be the one that has worked. Which one has worked? The one I hold in my hand right now. I has worked! It will work!

The following is sang to the tune of The Old-Time Religion:

It was good for our fathers;
It was good for our fathers;
It was good for our fathers;
And it’s good enough for me;

It was good for my mama;
It was good for my mama;
It was good for my mama;
And it’s good enough for me.

Contemplative Spirituality Exposed

Contemplative Spirituality Exposed!

by T. A. McMahon | The Berean Call Newsletter, March 2000

Please Contemplate This…Suppose you were introduced to a promotion promising a direct line of communication with the Creator of the universe.

Let’s say you’re initially skeptical, but you also find the idea appealing. After all, who wouldn’t want to be able to hear from and speak with God as though He were on one’s cell phone? As you listen to the deal being pitched and peruse some of the literature, you realize that the key to this is the use of a Ouija board. You push the literature aside and head for the exit.

Virtually every evangelical Christian would quickly reject the proposalespecially if he were aware that a Ouija board is an instrument of divination, a device for contacting spirit entities, which the Bible explicitly condemns (Dt 18:10). The basic problem with divination is that, even though the diviner is sincerely attempting to contact God, the entities with which one ends up communicating are demons (posing as Jesus, God, angels, departed loved ones, aliens, gods, etc.).

Discernment regarding the above example is for the most part, as my kids would say, “a no brainer!” However, that’s rarely the case in today’s spiritual marketplace. In particular, the “new and improved” or “revived” ways of communicating with God promoted among evangelicals are highly deceptive and very seductive. God has given His Word and His Holy Spirit to help us discern what is of Him and what is not. It’s particularly disturbing that a lethal portion of the “what is not” has entered the arena of our evangelical youth. Under the guise of “spiritual exercises that invite direct experiences with God,” and with the assurance that they are “classical forms of biblical meditation,” growing numbers of our “church” kids are being led unwittingly into the occult.

As I researched what I consider to be an extremely dangerous “spiritual” trend in the body of Christ, my empathy and concern deepened for the young people and youth pastors involved. I have little doubt that the motivation common to most of them arises from a desire to know God more intimately. That is not only what every biblical believer wants but, more importantly, that’s what the Lord wants for us. Furthermore, no truly born-again Christian can deny the experiential aspect of his personal relationship with Jesus Christ. So what exactly is the problem? God’s way is being forsaken for man’s way—and worse.

Programs and practices rife with occult methodologies and techniques have been in the works at churches and youth ministries around the country: Taizé, Lectio Divina, The Labyrinth (prayer walk), Renovaré, guided imagery, Walk to Emmaus, Cursillo, Centering Prayer, Ignatian Awareness Examen, The Jesus Prayer, and The Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius, to name but a handful. Two significant reasons for the appalling growth of these and other similar activities are that 1) they have an inside track with established parachurch organizations, and 2) increasing numbers of evangelicals are acquiring a taste for things Catholic.

Mark Yaconelli is co-director of the Youth Ministry and Spirituality Project (YMSP), an Eli Lilly (makers of Prozac) endowed program which is introducing contemplative spirituality to young people throughout the country. He is also an adjunct professor of youth ministries at San Francisco Theological Seminary. His father is Mike Yaconelli, head of Youth Specialities, a major evangelical organization serving “more than 80,000 youth workers worldwide through training seminars, conventions, videos, magazines, and resource products.”

One Youth Specialities seminar is “Sabbath: A [Contemplative] Spiritual Retreat for Youth Workers,” which Mark Yaconelli leads. In an article for the popular, youth-oriented Group magazine, Mark states, “The YMSP approach to youth ministry pushes for a return to God-awareness…[noting] that middle school and senior high kids are hungry to encounter God directly and eager to learn contemplative spiritual practices.”1

In another article subtitled “How Spiritual Exercises Can Change Your Kids,” he tells of implementing contemplative methods he first learned at “a weeklong retreat at a nearby [Roman Catholic] convent”:

Our [YMSP] project churches were introduced to a number of classical exercises from the Christian tradition: Biblical meditation forms like Lectio Divina and Ignatian contemplation; icon prayers and other visualization prayers; chanting; guided imagery; biblical imagination…centering prayer; and prayers of discernment.2

While I’m not questioning Yaconelli’s sincerity or integrity, nevertheless his statement needs both clarification and correction for accuracy’s sake. By “Christian tradition” he cannot mean biblical Christianity; these are exercises from “ancient” Catholic and Eastern Orthodox traditions. And, as will become clear, the “biblical meditation forms” he refers to are the antithesis of the meditation presented in God’s Word.

Let’s begin with the term “contemplative,” which is the prevalent name for the movement. Whereas contemplation normally means to think about something intently or to study it carefully, practitioners of the various contemplative methods do the opposite. The movement’s goal is to get people beyond thinking and understanding and into the realm of experiencing. Adherents are taught that while reason has some value, truly knowing God can only come through experiencing Him. This approach is, at best, a corruption of what the Bible says both about reason and how a believer’s personal relationship with Jesus Christ is developed. At worst, the contemplative exercises lead to the false Eastern mystical belief that man can achieve literal union with God, i.e., be absorbed into Him or It.

Lectio Divina (or “holy reading”) is one of the basic exercises of these disciplines. A phrase or single word is chosen from the Bible. However, rather than aiding understanding through one’s dwelling on its plain meaning, the word or words become mediumistic devices for hearing directly from God. The word or phrase is then “meditated upon” (meditatio) by being slowly repeated again and again in the fashion of a mantra (Jesus condemns as heathen “vain repetitions” in prayer [Mt 6:7]). It is then prayed (oratio) as an incantation, thereby allegedly healing painful thoughts or emotions. Finally, the repeated word is used to help clear one’s thoughts (contemplatio), supposedly making one an open receptacle for personally hearing God’s voice.

These biblical words are selected not for the purpose of attaining objective understanding—the “contemplator” has almost no interest in the meaning, grammatical use or context of the verses, which simply become a mechanism to aid in listening for subjective communication from God. It should be obvious (especially for evangelicals!) that this is not how the Bible instructs us to learn or teach the basic doctrines of the Christian faith. Furthermore, classic contemplative concepts reject doctrine as a basis for knowing God and for receiving His salvation. Many of the movement’s “spiritual masters” blame western rationalism (with its penchant for reason and emphasis upon words) for nearly destroying “our ability to intuitively experience our Creator.”

While the contemplative movement is troubling in its antibiblical philosophies, it is downright alarming in its potential for demon involvement. Its methodologies have been the very stuff of occultism throughout the ages. A tutorial of this movement is The Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius of Loyola, a primer for learning occult visualization (hailed by shamans as the most potent method for contacting spirit entities). In one of dozens of such exercises Ignatius instructs the reader “to picture…Christ our Lord….standing in a lowly place in a great plain about the region of Jerusalem, His appearance beautiful and attractive.”3 Though this may seem innocent, even spiritually gratifying, in reality it’s impossible. No one knows what Jesus looks like. Morever, this is visual idolatry (Ex 20:4-5), and a divination technique that opens the door to demonic spirits. We personally know former Jesuit priests (Ignatius founded the Jesuits) who report that they had been demonized by this method. The real Jesus will not respond, no matter how sincere the practitioner. Through the imagination the visualized Jesus (or any other personage) often takes on a life of its own and brings the practitioner into occult bondage. (See The Seduction of Christianity or Occult Invasion for more information on shamanic visualization.)

Centering prayer, a foundational contemplative technique, is a “Christianized” version of Eastern mystical meditation. Stripped of its deceptively biblical sounding terminology, it’s no different from that which yogis have practiced for millennia; neither are its occult effects. For example, an instructor in the movement (who mentors two Catholic priests) tells of his recurring problem with his meditation breathing exercise:

The Spirit would flow into my heart and start burning and I couldn’t get it to stop. The burning would proceed into my lungs and I could not take a deep breath for days, let alone do the breathing exercises….Do not get the idea that I was doing the exercises too forcefully. I wasn’t. It was just that the Spirit had become unleashed and I was encouraging it to flow more forcefully than my nervous system could handle. I sought medical help but the doctor couldn’t find any reason for the problem. How do you tell a doctor that the Spirit has really been rough on you lately and you want to learn how to cope with it?4

Rough “Spirit”? Not the Holy Spirit! Still needing help, he wrote to a renowned Catholic monk, author of many books on contemplative exercises. The reply was revealing though not surprising. “He graciously wrote back explaining that although the end in God is the same….he had not felt the heat or the flowing of the Spirit exactly as I did but that he had read about these experiences when reading of the Kundalini (what [Western] yogis call the fire of the Holy Spirit [Hindus actually call it the “Serpent force!”]) experiences….”Similar “rough” manifestations which wouldn’t go away have been reported at the alleged revivals of Pensacola and Toronto, causing young people and their parents to seek medical counsel.

If our small, central-Oregon town of Bend is any indication, the pied pipers of this movement are everywhere. Some of our local churches recently had Taizé meetings (repetitive chanting, meditative silences, candlelit rooms, etc.) for their youth. Walk to Emmaus has its local adherents. Richard Foster, who introduced shamanic visualization to evangelicals in his bestselling Celebration of Discipline, came to town with his contemplative spirituality-promoting organization, Renovaré. Its board of reference and speakers have included Jack Hayford, Lloyd John Ogilvie, Don Moomaw, Robert Seiple, David and Karen Mains, Martin Marty, C. Peter Wagner, Ron Sider, J.I. Packer, Calvin Miller, Fr. Henri Nouwen, Ted Engstrom, Fr. Michael Scanlon, Eugene Peterson, John Wimber, and Tony Campolo.

Not far from here, Eastern mystical guru Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh had his massive ashram/ranch, which the Lord graciously turned over to Young Life, the evangelical parachurch ministry. So it’s grievously ironic that the speaker for their pre-opening leadership conference at the 60,000-plus-acres Wild Horse Canyon complex was former Catholic priest/present Catholic mystic Brennan Manning. His book The Signature of Jesus advances the philosophies and methodologies of the contemplative mystical/New Age pundits. It is Jesus to whom he attributes the occult technique of centering prayer: “The hunger I encounter across the land for silence, solitude, and centering prayer is the Spirit of Christ calling us from the shadows to the deep.”6 His most influential admirers (and promoters among our youth) are some of the biggest names in Christian music, among them the late Rich Mullins, Michael Card, D.C. Talk, and A Ragamuffin Band—named after Manning’s Ragamuffin Gospel (endorsed by Eugene Peterson and Max Lucado). His contemplative and “unconditional love” gospel (see Q&A this issue), however, is not the biblical gospel of salvation; therefore, neither can the Jesus who he claims appears to him be the biblical Jesus.

The problems with this bogus spiritual approach to God are too many to fit into this brief article. Nevertheless, my prayer is that those youth leaders and pastors involved, or thinking about getting involved, would contemplate (in the biblical sense!) the following:

Where do you find any of these methods or techniques in the Bible? Did any prophet or apostle, New Testament or Old, practice any of these “spiritual” exercises? No. Then how can these exercises be considered God’s way of knowing Him?

How much of this movement with its mystical saints and classic works is Catholic, advancing the Catholic way of salvation? Are you interested in having your youth group follow the “check your mind at the door” teachings of St. Ignatius found in his spiritual exercises—such as, “If we wish to proceed securely in all things, we must hold fast to the following principle: What seems to me white, I will believe black if the hierarchical [Roman Catholic] Church so defines”?

Have you ever found the biblical gospel in any of the classic or modern contemplative materials? Could there be any significance in the fact that this movement practically died out after the Reformation, only to be revived today! How does one discern whether or not the God being “heard” through the subjectiveexperiential mode of communication is truly our Lord speaking—especially if the authority and sufficiency of His Word is downplayed, even rejected?

Finally, if you truly love those young souls whom Christ also loved and for whom He died, will you be a Berean, carefully checking these things in the light of Scripture—for their sake (Acts 20:28)? TBC

SBC and Evangelicals seekers shift toward mystical emergent church

SBC and Evangelicals seekers shift toward mystical emergent church

“Christian” leaders that appeared on the church platforms of Saddleback, Willow Creek, Crystal Cathedral and other mega churches told us that a “big shift” was coming in Christianity and it has. This shift has been from following the written word of God to following mystical beliefs. This will eventually split the Evangelicals and their largest denomination.

The Southern Baptist Convention (SBC) and other Evangelicals are slowly but surely being led by the seeker friendly gurus toward embracing the postmodern relativistic mystical concepts and leaders of the Emergent Church Movement.

This danger is greater than the division in the ranks of the SBC some years ago when liberals had unduly influenced the SBC leadership. It then took Adrian Rogers and some other conservative leaders to save the denomination from the abyss. This time the division is more insidious because the deception is coming from once strong conservative Bible believing churches that suddenly and subtly are now shifting to conform to the views of the postmodern emergent “Christians” that believe that truth is relative and Eastern and Roman Catholic religious mysticism is knowledge that should be acquired by Evangelicals.

You cannot argue from the scripture with postmodern people because their thoughts and feelings and human rationalizations trump any sound doctrine arguments. In other words, they are the final authority on God or at least humans are. They have in effect made man God because only man can determine what is good and evil. They have fallen into the big lie and the trap of a Devil that they do not even believe in. The concept of any Devil or Hell is not rational to the emergent church. It is just primitive and harmful folklore.

Scripture is no longer the final authority for faith and practice to most that lead the Emergent Movement, and that is why true Christians will have to separate from them. The situation we find ourselves in within the Evangelical Movement happened before on a smaller scale in the Jesus Movement of the 70’s and it will have a similar outcome.

The Jesus Movement was big and growing in California but some wanted esoteric mystical experiences in the services more than the teaching of sound doctrine. The Calvary Chapel Jesus movement split when Chuck Smith insisted that teaching doctrine, the written word of God, be the main focus of their services and not esoteric claims and mystical experiences. Those that disagreed with Smith split off to form the Vineyard movement that became led by John Wimber. The Vineyards are hyper Charismatic/Pentecostal churches and much like Word of Faith churches they went off into esoteric mystical fairyland and produced, laughing, prosperity and healing circuses. TV also spread hyper-Pentecostalism to other Pentecostal denominations. I guess the umbrella name for these hyper-Pentecostals today (if there is one) is now known as the New Apostolic Reformation (NAR). Without sound doctrine to guide them, they just get crazier all the time. On the other hand, the Calvary Chapel movement continued to teach through the Bible and most are still very solid biblical churches.

I think there will be a separation from the emergents as well, because once they departed from the word of God, there is no common foundation to stand on. I can’t stand on someone’s feelings, or on the teachings of men who use scripture as only a tool to teach philosophies that came from subjective contemplation and feelings originating in their own mind.

Unfortunately Bible believers are not going to be able to just educate or eradicate the emergents out of the evangelical movement because postmodern relativism has become firmly established; it has gone on too long. Very popular seeker-friendly gurus like Rick Warren, Bill Hybells etc, are endorsing emergent leaders. They are also joining with the NAR leaders.

What the emergents and the NAR have in common is postmodernism, postmillennialism, Dominion Theology and mysticism. They have different views of just how the Church takes over the world for God, but emergents almost all agree that Christendom must unite and take the world for Christ. Depending on the point of view of those that bought into this Dominion Theology, that either means they will once again join with the Roman Catholics, or they will be taking over the Roman Catholic system. That is why some emergent churches have incorporated Roman Catholic type rituals and its mysticism and some even push the writings of Catholic mystics. On the other hand, the NAR disciples think their anointed elite will usurp the Vatican and all leadership within Christendom. All will bow their knee to the anointed spiritual elite and that is how they will unite the Church and the world. They plan on doing it through signs, wonders and conquest (fat chance).

Emergents have already taken over many of our Bible colleges and seminaries and they are now pumping out young ministers made in the emergent image. I would venture to say that most of the young pastor/teachers coming out of Christian schools today are buying into at least some of the writings of emergent church leaders. Any small church getting a  pastor today right out of Bible school will probably get someone who leans toward emergent teaching. I would also venture to say that any large church probably already has one or more emergent clerics or lay leaders subverting the church from within. Once solid Bible teaching churches and head pastors have shown little discernment about the Emergent Church Movement. Many seem to now care only about numbers and being relevant to a postmodern generation, or perhaps they are deceived themselves and have actually converted to the emergent philosophy.

For example: there is the case of Dr. Ed Young who endorsed the teachings of Gary Thomas and even hired him as a leader in his mega church. Here is an excerpt about this from Apprising Ministries (links within were removed).

Gary Thomas’ main point of teaching right now, while promoting his latest book Thirsting for God: Spiritual Refreshment for the Sacred Journey, is encouraging people to read what he calls the “Christian classics.” He’ll tell you himself that these include, for example, the emotionally troubled Carmelite nun Teresa of Avila and her disciple John of the Cross. So Thomas has clearly set aside the Protestant Reformers’ assessments of these Roman Catholic mystics; but remember, Teresa and John were living at the same time as were these Reformers. And also keep in mind that they were actually active in the Counter Reformation movement within the RCC.

In fact, precisely in answer to mystics like these, the Protestant Reformers rightly emphasized that the proper way to approach Christian spirituality was to meet God in His Word, the Bible, one of His prescribed means of grace. However, in order to teach his mystic mythology Thomas has to set aside sola Scriptura along with these apostate Roman Catholic nuns and monks; they don’t mix. You really need to understand that this is all vivid evidence of an egregious infection of epidemic proportions because it quite accurately represents the views of more and more younger evangelicals.

Not only that, but from years of using marred materials from teachers in the Emerging Church, this also serves to further illustrate the awful effects Emergent philosophy is now having within the mainstream of the evangelical community. Sadly, desperate for numbers circa 2000 foolish leaders within once conservative evangelical churches would end up using their own young as spiritual guinea pigs in “alternative” worship services and quite literally bring wolves into Young Adult and Youth ministry sheep pens. And the first thing los lobos did was to separate them away from trust in Holy Scripture.

Bottom line: If Roman Catholic mysticism is now being promoted and recommended so openly in megachurches like 2ndBC and Saddleback Church within the SBC, then we really have a huge problem.

The Woeful Curse Of Lordship Salvation

Lordship Salvation

By David J. Stewart | May 2007 | Updated May 2015

“But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.” —Romans 4:5

LORDSHIP SALVATION is the false doctrine that a sinner MUST forsake a sinful lifestyle to be saved. In sharp contrast, the Bible, God’s Word, teaches that a sinner’s faith in Christ alone is sufficient for salvation. We are not saved by trying, but by trusting. Eternal life is a free gift, freely received by faith alone in Christ. I am a strong OPPONENT of Lordship Salvation. In fact, I hate the hellish lie of Lordship Salvation.

A popular website which endorses Lordship Salvation states the following heresy…

If Jesus Christ is not the Lord and Master of your life, He is NOT your Saviour. ALL opponents of this doctrine DENY the Lord Jesus Christ and turn the grace of God into lasciviousness by saying saved people may live just like the world. Many of today’s “soulwinner’s” believe, and preach, that submitting to Jesus as Lord is optional. They say Jesus will be your Saviour while Satan is your Lord. That is not what the Bible says. Only the devil would want you to believe that. The blood of Jesus is so POWERFUL that it will give you a new mind. Read Romans with clear eyeballs and see for yourself.

SOURCE: Lordship Salvation

I would like to make several comments, examining the above individual statements one by one, in the Light of God’s Word. The Word of God is our Sword by which we can easily defeat the two-headed monster of Lordship Salvation

  1. ACCUSATION #1: “If Jesus Christ is not the Lord and Master of your life, He is NOT your Saviour.”

MY RESPONSE: You can’t support that statement with the Scriptures! Lordship Salvationists interpret the word Lord to mean “Master,” i.e., to surrender to Christ’s will. However, the Biblical word for Lord is quite different, which is always the Greek word KURIOS, meaning “Supreme in Authority.” Hence, to believe on Christ is to trust THE LORD. Every lost sinner who comes to Jesus Christ for salvation is coming the LORD, i.e., to God Almighty, for salvation. You don’t make Jesus Lord, He is Lord. For Lordship Salvationists to make a distinction, and create an entirely new doctrine, which requires a person to make Christ the Master of his life to be saved—is damnable heresy!

  2. ACCUSATION #2: ALL opponents of this doctrine DENY the Lord Jesus Christ and turn the grace of God into lasciviousness by saying saved people may live just like the world.

MY RESPONSE: That is a horrible lie! Did Abraham deny the Lord, when he simply “believed in the LORD; and he counted it to him for righteousness” in Genesis 15:6? Not at all? Romans 4:5 plainly states that we are saved WITHOUT WORKS. Abraham was justified solely by faith concerning his salvation. When James speaks of Abraham’s faith beingjustified by works, he was speaking about the incident in Genesis 22 when Abraham offered up Isaac. This was 7 chapters LATER, after Abraham was saved in Genesis 15:6. James speaks of the FRUIT of Abraham’s faith in James 2:21; BUT Paul speaks of the ROOT of Abraham’s faith in Romans 4:3-5. Lordship Salvationists confuse the ROOT of Christian faith with the FRUIT (i.e., evidence) of that faith. To accuse all “opponents” of Lordship Salvation of condoning worldliness and sinful living is unfair. Nothing could be further from the truth. We do not believe that at all. The Bible does not give anyone God’s permission to live in intentional sin (Romans 3:31; 6:15).

The Bible teaches that if a person is genuinely saved that there should be some evidence (i.e., the “works” spoken of in James 2:18). However, this has nothing to do with salvation itself. Also, you CANNOT mandate such changes for salvation, otherwise you’ve corrupted the Gospel. Please do not misunderstand—You cannot tell how much fuel is in a car’s gas tank by the sound of the horn; and you cannot determine if a person is saved by viewing their lifestyle. James speaks of works seen in the eyes of men, not God. True, a saved person should bring forth works of righteousness in their life, which are evidence of the indwelling Holy Spirit; HOWEVER, just because such works are not readily visible for others to see doesn’t mean they are not saved.Following Jesus Christ is a matter of DISCIPLESHIP, and not SALVATION. Eternal life is a free gift (Romans 5:15; 6:23; Ephesians 2:8-10). Our churches are filled with morally upright people who are still hellbound in their sins and unbelief. Satan’s greatest weapon is to con people into living the Christian life without ever being born-again. Living a consecrated life is not a part of saving-faith. Please read the beautiful words of Dr. John R. Rice exposing the heresy of Lordship Salvation.

The argument is concerning salvation itself. Lordship Salvationists are woefully ignorant of the Bible. At some point in the past they got upset seeing professed “Christians” living in sin, so they countered the issue by fabricating the heresy of Lordship Salvation; thus, forcing people to forsake their sinful habits in order to be saved. The problem is that God never said that. Lordship Salvation is a false plan of salvation. You can’t force a sinner to forsake his sins by adding it as a requiring for salvation. This is NOT to say that a man can believe on Christ without realizing that he is a GUILTY SINNER (Romans 3:19); however, there is a vast difference between realizing one’s guilt as a sinner, verses actually forsaking the sinful act itself. Please read what Dr. Harry Ironside had to say about BIBLICAL REPENTANCE. Dr. Ironside is 100% correct in his definition of repentance…SOURCE: Except Ye Repent, by Dr. Harry Ironside, chapter 3

  3. Carefully notice that Biblical repentance is NOT forsaking the act of sin, which is impossible for anyone. Nor is it the desire to forsake deliberate sinful bad habits. For anyone to say that a person MUST forsake their sinful behavior to be saved is heresy, because eternal life is a gift, which you simply take. Please read,The Hypocrisy of the Critics of Eternal Security.

So to clarify. I am an opponent of the Lordship Salvation heresy. I do NOT believe that a believer may live like the world without consequences. Not at all. However, just because believers struggle with sin doesn’t mean they’re not saved (Romans 7:14-25). As believers we are commanded to walk in the Spirit, but carefully notice the Words of Galatians 5:25… “If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.” It is abundantly clear from this Scripture that it is possible to LIVE in Christ’s Spirit (i.e., to be saved), and yet fail to WALK in Christ’s Spirit (i.e., live for the Lord). Do some genuine believers live like the world? Yes, of course; BUT, Hebrews 12:8 tells us the big difference between a worldly heathen and a worldly believer… “But if ye be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are ye bastards, and not sons.” No believer can live in sin and truly be happy. God clearly states in Hebrews 12:8 that He will CHASTISE and SCOURGE the believer. The Holy Spirit will convict a backslider, and that is an important word—backslider (Proverb 14:14). Lordship Salvationists DON’T allow for a Christian to backslide. As far as they’re concerning, a backslidden believer is no believer at all, and that’s not Biblical. The Word of God gives us numerous references to heroes of the faith who backslid into horrible sin (such as king David who committed adultery and murder).

  4. “Repentance is the recognition of my sinnership — the owning before God that I am as vile as He has declared me to be in His holy Word.”
  5. ACCUSATION #3: Many of today’s “soulwinner’s” believe, and preach, that submitting to Jesus as Lord is optional. They say Jesus will be your Saviour while Satan is your Lord. That is not what the Bible says. Only the devil would want you to believe that.

MY RESPONSE: Again, this flawed mentality leaves absolutely no allowance for a believer to backslide. The author of the preceding quote keeps alleging that Satan is the Lord of anyone who doesn’t commit their life to Christ at the time of salvation, which is extreme and ridiculous to say the least. 1st Peter 2:2 speaks of growing in the milk of the Word. A new believer must be taught and mentored if they are to live for the Lord.

Like it or not, there is an ongoing raging battle in EVERY believer between the sinful flesh and the Spirit of God (Romans 7:14-25; James 4:1). Even the Apostle Paul said in Romans 7:19, “For the good that I would I do not: but the evil which I would not, that I do.” Now why would the Apostle Paul DO EVIL if Jesus were his Lord? Hmmm? This Scripture alone proves the ignorance and hypocrisy of the proponents of the Lordship Salvation heresy.

  6. ACCUSATION #4: The blood of Jesus is so POWERFUL that it will give you a new mind. Read Romans with clear eyeballs and see for yourself.

MY RESPONSE:  Yes, a new mind; but not a new flesh! The Apostle Paul states in Romans 7:24,25… “O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death? I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin.” Proponents of Lordship Salvation are woefully blinded to the fact that every believer still has to contend with the carnal flesh. Oftentimes, as seen repeatedly from Genesis to Revelation, God’s children falter. Does not Proverb 24:16 declare… “For a just man falleth seven times, and riseth up again: but the wicked shall fall into mischief“? Christians do falter in their faith at times. At best the Christian life is a rollercoaster.

It was John the Baptist, whom Jesus called the greatest born amongst women (Matthew 11:11), who told his disciples to go ask Jesus… “Art thou he that should come, or do we look for another?” (Matthew 11:3). John became so discouraged in prison that he questioned if Jesus were truly the Messiah. What do you think the Lordship Salvationhypocrites would have said about John the Baptist? Lordship Salvationists are the hypocritical religious Pharisees of our time.

We read in 2nd Timothy 4:10 that Demas forsook Paul, having loved this present world. Yet, we learn in Philemon 1:24 that a few years earlier Demas was a fellow-labourer with the Apostle Paul in his ministry. Demas was saved, but backslidden into the world.

Ironically, the author of the above Lordship Salvation heresies is a fan of David W. Cloud, who is 100% against the damnable false doctrine of Lordship Salvation. David Cloud states…

WE DO NOT BELIEVE THAT A PERSON MUST REPENT OF ALL OF HIS OR HER SINS TO BE SAVED. That is certainly not something we teach or lean toward, and that is not something we have ever stated in any article. In fact, I have plainly stated that I do not believe that. It would be impossible to “repent of all your sins.” I have been saved for almost 24 years, and I still have not repented of all my sins!

Note on David Cloud: Although I fully agree with David Cloud’s statements above, buthe does teach his own variation (ANOTHER GOSPEL) of the heresy. Please read, A Dangerous teaching in Fundamentalism.

Biblically Refuting David Cloud’s False Plan Of Salvation

The following excellent information by Dr. Hank Lindstrom (1940-2008) is from the helpful Christian website,GetGodsGift.Org

THE INCOMPATIBILITY OF THE LORDSHIP GOSPEL WITH THE GOSPEL OF GRACE“But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.”
Galatians 1:8,9

The importance of this question can’t be overestimated in relation to both salvation and sanctification. The message of faith only and the message of commitment of life can’t both be the gospel; therefore, one of them is a false gospel and come under the curse of perverting the gospel or preaching another gospel.

“It is an inexcusable error to confront sinners with problems that concern the Christian life and call upon them to make promises regarding them. An unsaved person is never called upon to surrender himself to God. The saving act is in no instance represented as our ‘giving ourselves to God’; it is, on the contrary, taking His Son as our Savior.” Ryrie, Charles. Balancing the Christian Life. Moody Press, Inc., 1969 (p. 170).

“The second approach finds faith in the gospel alone an ‘easy Believism’ and seeks to add something to faith in order to accomplish salvation. To repent is to ‘change one’s mind,’ and to believe is to remove one’s trust from that in which it has rested and place it in Christ.” Howard, William. “Is Faith Enough to Save?” Bibliotheca Sacra. January-March, 1942 (p.99).

“This kind of faith is not ‘easy believism’. It is not easy to say, ‘I can’t save myself, I must recognize that there is something wrong with me, and I must seek help from someone else.'” Hook, H. Phillip. “A Biblical Definition of Saving Faith.” Bibliotheca Sacra. April-June, 1964 (p. 133, 138).

“Eternal life is free. Discipleship is immeasurably hard. The former is attained by faith alone, the latter by a faith that works… the former brings with it the righteousness of God so that a man is ‘justified freely by his grace’ (Romans 3:24). The latter develops a personal righteousness, based on good deeds, so that a man was also ‘justified by works’ (James 2:24). The former constituted the believer God’s workmanship, the latter fulfilled the wonderful purpose for which he had been created. The former cost man nothing, the latter could cost him everything, including life itself.” Hodges, Zane C. The Hungry Inherit. Moody Press, Inc., 1972 (p. 114, 115).

“There is a vast difference between coming to Jesus for salvation and coming after Jesus for service. Coming to Christ makes one a believer, while coming after Christ makes one a disciple. All believers are not disciples. To become a believer one accepts the invitation of the Gospel, to be a disciple one obeys the challenge to a life of dedicated service and separation. Salvation comes through the sacrifice of Christ; discipleship comes only by sacrifice of self and surrender to His call for devoted service. Salvation is free, but discipleship involves paying the price of a separated walk. Salvation can’t be lost because it depends upon God’s faithfulness, but discipleship can be lost because it depends upon our faithfulness.” DeHaan, M. R. Hebrews. Zondervan Publishing House, 1959 (p. 117).

“For the unregenerate man, repentance is the change of mind whereby he turns from unbelief to faith in the person and work of Jesus Christ.” Post, Roger. “The Meanings of the Words Translated ‘Repent’ and ‘Repentance’ in the New Testament.” Master’s Thesis, Wheaton College, June 1972 (p. 80).

“There are those who, in their zeal to get people to turn from their sinful ways and receive the Lord, almost put repentance on a par with believing… Repentance, as it relates to Christ, means to change our minds about Him, who He is and what He’s done to provide forgiveness and deliverance from our sins. When we place faith in Jesus as having taken our place personally on the cross and borne the penalty due our sins, then we’re automatically repenting, because we couldn’t accept Him in this way without having had to change our minds in some way concerning Him.” Lindsey, Hal. The Liberation of Planet Earth. Zondervan Publishing House, 1974 (p. 136, 137).

“Discipleship is frequently equated with salvation and often erroneously made a condition for becoming a Christian”. Pentecost, J. Dwight. Design for Discipleship. Zondervan Publishing House, 1971 (p. 11).

“Certainly discipleship is a most important aspect of our relation to Christ, but it belongs to the sphere of Christian life rather than entrance upon that life… One does not become a disciple in order to become a Christian, but because he has become a Christian by faith in the Savior, it is fitting that he embark upon a life of discipleship”. Harrison, Everett F. “Must Christ be Lord to Be Savior?-No.” Eternity, September 1959 (p. 14).

“There is no more piously subtle abrogation of the Gospel than to tell a Sinner that he must not only believe in the Savior, but dedicate himself to do God’s will, crown the Savior Lord of his life, etc., etc. Obviously, dedication and service are highly desirable, but they are the privilege and the duty of the saved, never a condition of salvation for the unsaved (cf. Romans 12:1, 2).” Unger, Merrill F. God is Waiting to Meet You. Moody Press, 1975 (p. 117, 118).

“People are sometimes led to believe that there is saving value in some public confession of Christ, or profession of a decision. “With the heart man believeth unto righteousness.” This is salvation. “With the mouth confession is made unto salvation.” This is the voice of the newborn child speaking to and of its father. The only condition on which one may be saved is to believe.” Chafer, Lewis Sperry. Salvation. Dunham Publishing Company, 1917 (p. 46).

SUMMARY
Lordship salvation is where someone teaches that there must be a commitment to Christ as Lord of one’s life in order to be saved. Recently there has been a modification of this position to say that willingness to be controlled by the Lord at the time of salvation is all that is required in addition to faith in order to be saved. The message of faith only and the message of faith plus commitment of life can’t both be the gospel; therefore, one of them is a FALSE GOSPEL and comes under the curse of perverting the gospel or preaching another gospel. Galatians 1:8, 9 says, “But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you, than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. As we said before, so say I now again, if any man preach any other gospel unto you than that you have received, let him be accursed.” If only committed people are saved people, then where is there room for carnal Christians? What kind of dedication must be preached to people, if in order to be saved, they have already dedicated their lives to the Lord? Where do you stop if you start adding something else to this which is the gospel revealed in the Bible? Look at what God says about adding to the revelation of Jesus Christ (gospel), “For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book (Revelation 22:18).” The Bible plainly declares that we are saved by faith, and not by works. Where does it say this? Ephesians 2:8, 9 “For by grace are ye saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God. Not of works, lest any man should boast.” What are you trusting in to get you to heaven?

* Written by Dr. Hank Lindstrom

The moment you put your trust in Jesus Christ, God who can read your mind knows, saves YOU and gives you the Gift of God, eternal Life.

You do not need anyone to pray over you, or pray for you, because this is between you and God in heaven. Because of your new trust in the shed blood of Jesus Christ you are now a child of God. Before you trusted in Jesus, God was your creator but now and forevermore he will be your father.

You are saved in a moment of time, because you are trusting in the true Savior now, not working your way to heaven day by day which is not even possible.

Once saved you can never be lost, for any reason. This is because you were born spiritually the moment you put your trust in Him. Just like your physical birth which brought you into this human world, your spiritual birth gave you a new spiritual life that is permanent. You were born-again, made righteous and holy in Gods eyes. In fact you have the righteousness of God himself, your are sinless and perfect in God’s eyes now and that’s why you can enter into a perfect heaven.

My favorite saying is:

God will not save anyone who is trying to be saved, He will only save those who are trusting to be saved.

You MUST put ALL your trust in Jesus to be saved, trust in the blood that He shed on the cross, trust that He is God in the flesh, trust that He made the complete payment for your sins, not just part; He paid for ALL of your sins (past, present, and future)! Trust that He rose again from the dead after 3 days and 3 nights, and in return for this trust, He gives YOU Eternal Life. All false Christians put part of their trust in Jesus and part of their trust the Church and part of their trust in themselves. If you put 99.99% trust in Jesus and 00.01% in something else, you will go to hell. It must be 100% trust in Jesus and what He did and 0% in you or your church! This information in critical… (grace always cancels works!) You are going to hell if it’s by your works or you are going to heaven by Gods grace. It’s as simple as that.

So I guess the question comes down to who are you trusting. Are you trusting yourself to get to heaven by being a good person and giving lots of money to your church or are you trusting Jesus, the lamb of God, that was slain for the sins of the world to get you to heaven? You receive the Gift of God (Eternal Life) as soon as you stop trusting in yourself, your church, your synagogue, your mosque, your money, or any other works and put your trust in Him and Him ALONE, Jesus Christ, Yeshua, The King of Kings, the Everlasting Father, the Prince of Peace, the Alpha and Omega, the Mighty God.

False religions are everywhere and they will find you, the one true God and His plan of salvation must be found.

If all this makes sense to you and you would like to trust Jesus as your personal Savior right now then tell the Mighty God in Heaven of your decision to trust Jesus Christ as your only hope of heaven. Tell Him that you are no longer putting your trust in your actions, or your church, or your church membership, or in your money, or in your Rabbi, or in your synagogue or your Mosque but that you are putting all of your trust in Him and the shed blood of the cross to pay your sin debt. Thank Him for doing it for you! Thank Him for giving you the Gift of Eternal Life that He paid for with His life. There is no greater deed than that of laying down your life for another.

Will you trust Jesus as your Savior right now, the one who shed His precious blood on the cross of Calvary to pay for all your sins?

Sinners Prayer
Lord, I admit that I’m a sinner & I don’t understand a whole lot about the bible, but I do believe that Jesus Christ died & paid for my sins in full, by His death & shed blood on the cross. I trust right now the He died for me, was buried & rose again from the dead and will live forever more. I trust Jesus Christ right now to save me, to be my savior, to forgive my sins & to give me the GIFT OF GOD Eternal Life. Amen

By reading this sinners prayer aloud, you are putting your trust in God and His plan of salvation. You are not saved by saying this prayer, you are saved the moment your mind made the switch from trusting in yourself to putting your COMPLETE TRUST IN JESUS CHRIST. That moment may have been five paragraphs up on this page or that moment may have been on another one of our pages. You will not feel any different, but you will be changed and changed for the better forever. Once you have trusted Jesus as your savior and received his gift of eternal life, this gift can NEVER be lost. You can NEVER go to hell for ANY reason. Your past, present and future sins were paid in full the moment you put your trust in Him. You are blameless and Holy in God’s eyes now and FOREVER. If you have eternal life today what kind of life will you have in five years? ETERNAL! What kind of life will you have in ten years? ETERNAL!! What kind of life will you have in 50 years? ETERNAL!!! God does not give probationary life or temporary life, His gift is ETERNAL LIFE! Thanks be to GOD!

Why be good, now that I am assured of going to heaven? Because God’s law of sowing and reaping still applies to you and me. You will reap what you sow. You will reap more than you sow and you will reap later than you sow. If you drink alcohol like a fish, you will reap a diseased liver. If you smoke like a chimney everyday, you will reap lung cancer. If you rob, murder, and steal you will reap a life in prison. You will reap what you sow. I guarantee it! Now that you are saved, when you do good things you WILL be rewarded here on earth and in Heaven. And when you do bad things you WILL lose rewards that God had planned on giving you here on earth and in Heaven. But you will NEVER lose your guarantee of going to heaven. That can never be lost for any reason!! You have God’s word that your salvation can never be lost for any reason. You did not earn salvation and you do not work to keep salvation! Eternal Life, salvation, being born again, becoming a child of God, was, is, and always will be the GIFT OF GOD.

Remember: If your not saved forever… you are not saved!

Why is this true you might ask? Because if a person is not sure that they are saved TODAY / RIGHT NOW it means that they are still trying to be the savior! They can’t be sure they are going to heaven because they don’t know what sin’s they may commit next week, next month or next year. We who have trusted in Jesus alone, can have comfort knowing that all our sins have been paid in full on the Cross of Calvary (past, present, and future sins). Jesus has already died for my sins so I don’t need to pay for any sin I have or will commit in the future because Jesus already paid the price in full with His blood. So called Christians who say that you can lose your salvation because of suicide or murder or falling away from the church don’t have a clue what the Bible says and clearly have not trusted Jesus ALONE!

Biblical Salvation is forsaking any other means of salvation but Christ and casting ourselves fully upon Him for eternal life.

The Gift of God, Eternal Life can never be lost once possessed for any reason. John 6:39 ” And this is the Father’s will which hath sent Me, that of all which He hath given Me I should LOSE NOTHING, but should raise it up again at the last day.” You have God’s promise that once you put your trust in Jesus you can never be lost for ANY reason whatsoever.

“For the gifts and calling of God are without repentance” Romans 11:29 Again, God is telling you that this Gift of God that you have just received is without repentance. He can never take His gift back for any reason, no matter how bad you get, or how bad your sins are it is not possible. God would have to cease to exist for that to happen because He cannot lie.

Are Opponents of Lordship Salvation Antinomians?

Webster’s 1828 dictionary defines an “antinomian” as…

ANTINOMIAN, n. One of a sect who maintain, that, under the gospel dispensation, the law is of no use or obligation; or who hold doctrines which supersede the necessity of good works and a virtuous life. This sect originated with John Agricola about the year 1538.

ANTIMONITE, n. One who pays no regard to the law, or to good works.

ANTINOMIAN, a. [Gr. against, and law.] Against law; pertaining to the Antinomians.

ANTINOMIANISM, n. The tenets of Antinomians.

Are opponents of Lordship Salvation antinomians? No, absolutely not! Opponents of the Lordship Salvation heresy are not Antinomians!

ANTINOMIANISM:

Antinomianism comes from the Greek meaning lawless. In Christian theology it is a pejorative term for the teaching that Christians are under no obligation to obey the laws of ethics or morality. Few, if any, would explicitly call themselves “antinomian,” hence, it is usually a charge leveled by one group against an opposing group.

Antinomianism may be viewed as the polar opposite of legalism, the notion that obedience to a code of religious law is necessary for salvation. In this sense, both antinomianism and legalism are considered errant extremes.

SOURCE: Antinomianism – Theopedia, an encyclopedia of Biblical Christianity

I DON’T AGREE WITH ANTINOMIANISM. It is a false doctrine! I DO believe that Christians are under obligation from God to obey His laws and ethics, BUT NOT AS PART OF THE PLAN OF SALVATION!!!Romans 3:31, “Do we then make void the law through faith? God Forbid: Yea, We Establish the Law.That’s all I’m teaching! Every born-again believer is obligated to obey and fulfil the law, not to be saved, but because we are saved.

Also see Romans 6:15. Although the believer in Christ is freed from the CURSE of the Law, we are nevertheless expected to obey the COMMAND of the Law. Jesus said in John 15:14, “If ye love me, keep my commandments.” No believer has God’s permission to sin. 2nd Corinthians 5:10 plainly states, “For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.

There will be a separate judgment in Heaven just for believers, which proves that a believer cannot lose salvation because of sin. If sinful believers went to Hell, then there would not be any need for a separate judgment for believers who sin. 1st Corinthians 3:15 tells us that some believers will escape Hell “as by fire.” In other words, they will receive no rewards in Heaven. This clearly refutes the Charismatic heresy that salvation can be lost. If that were true, then how could a believer, who lived so awful as to receive NO REWARDS in Heaven, still go to Heaven?

Oh! The folly of those today who propagate the Lordship Salvation heresy. Their accusation against Bible-believing Christians that we make void the Law is absurd and certainly untrue. Just because a Christian goes into sin does not mean that they have chosen Satan as their lord. How ridiculous! Did king David make Satan his lord when he deliberately committed adultery and murder? Did Peter make Satan his lord when he denied Christ? Such accusations are childish. The truth is that every believer struggles with the sin-nature. As my pastor Dr. Jack Hyles used to say… “We can walk in the Spirit at any given moment if we so choose; but we won’t always walk in the Spirit because of our sin-nature.” God has given us the ability to escape temptation (1st Corinthians 10:13); but as sinners we won’t always do that. Lordship Salvationists act like they are without sin, but they are saturated with sins, especially the sin of hypocrisy.

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son,
that whosoever believeth in him should not perish,
but have everlasting life.”
—John 3:16

The Counterfeit Emerging Church Of Alice Bailey

The Counterfeit Emerging Church Of Alice Bailey

by David J. Stewart | July 2015

2nd Timothy 3:1-5, “This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; HAVING A FORM OF GODLINESS, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.”

The following shocking quote from Alice Bailey ought to alarm every born-again Christian in the world. I’ll explain the Satanic meaning and dark agenda set forth by Mrs. Bailey after you read this disturbing quote…

The Christian church in its many branches can serve as a St. John the Baptist, as a voice crying in the wilderness, and as a nucleus through which world illumination may be accomplished. I indicate the hope. I do not assert a fact. Its work is intended to be the holding of a broad platform. The church must show a wide tolerance, and teach no revolutionary doctrines or cling to any reactionary ideas. The church as a teaching factor should take the great basic doctrines and (shattering the old forms in which they are expressed and held) show their true and inner spiritual significance. The prime work of the church is to teach, and teach ceaselessly, preserving the outer appearance in order to reach the many who are accustomed to church usages. Teachers must be trained; Bible knowledge must be spread; the sacraments must be mystically interpreted, and the power of the church to heal must be demonstrated.

…There is no question therefore that the work to be done in familiarising the general public with the nature of the Mysteries is of paramount importance at this time. These Mysteries will be restored to outer expression through the medium of the Church and the Masonic Fraternity, if those groups leave off being organisations with material purpose, and become organisms with living objectives. [emphasis added]

Let’s break the preceding quote down into a few points, and examine it in light of the Word of God:

Apostate Churches Will Be The Nucleus Through Which The New World Order Is Implemented. Bailey says that modern apostate churches can be just as influential as John the Baptist, who prepared the way for the first appearing of the Lord Jesus Christ. Shockingly, Bailey is teaching that the churches can be infiltrated and corrupted so that they actually help prepare for the coming of the Antichrist. Wow! Apostate Rick Warren (who has a personal net worth of $25,000,000) has been dubbed as “America’s Pastor,” yet he has relentlessly promoted “Chrislam” (Christianity sinfully yoked together with Islam), and has called for all Christians to submit to the Catholic Pope. In essence, and I say this kindly, Pastor Warren is “America’s Bastard” (meaning illegitimate). Illuminati Puppet, Pastor Rick Warren, Calls Jesuit Pedophile Devil Pope Francis, “OUR POPE”! What a fraud! Please watch the video titled: Rick Warren Exposed: Roman Catholic End Time Deception! If you understand what Alice Bailey is saying in the previous quote, you can clearly see how the Devil is using Pastor Warren to reform and corrupt the churches with New World Order philosophies. Warren claims that his book on “The Purpose Driven Life” is second in sales only to the King James Bible itself. I don’t know if that’s true, but that’s what he claims. Warren said his book has been translated into 159 different languages. That is sad and tragic, because his book is a blueprint for Alice Bailey’s New World Order.

These Churches Will Be Ecumenical, Soft-On-Sin, Non-Controversial And Doctrinally Deficient. Bailey states: “The church must show a wide tolerance, and teach no revolutionary doctrines or cling to any reactionary ideas.” This defines Rick Warren’s ecumenical compromise and shameful teachings. Warren’s wishy-washy! Alice Bailey said the churches must refrain from being controversial, by becoming widely “tolerant.” Now you know why in March of 2015, 20,562 Presbyterian ministers sinfully embraced same-sex marriages in 10,083 churches!!! WOE UNTO THOSE CHURCHES!!! The dictionary defines the word “reactionary” as “extremely conservative.” No wonder Rick Warren flip-flops on the issue of homosexuality, apologetically expressing his lame beliefs, telling everyone that he has many gay friends. The word “revolutionary” means “radical.” Bailey said the churches must not teach radical doctrines, such as the truth that salvation is by faith alone!!! The churches are infected today with the false doctrine that a person must forsake a sinful life to be saved, which is 100% works salvation. Reformation is not a requirement for regeneration!!! Amen! Warren is an unsaved spiritual destitute man, who teaches the Lordship Salvation heresy (.pdf book), pulling on the same rope as the Devil. God deliver us from this evil generation!!! Bailey’s plan for the New World Order is being successfully implemented, and the average church leader is woefully ignorant of these things. By God’s grace, I am trying to wake you up!!! Here’s a video clip of reprobate Rick Warren saying concerning Roman Catholics, “If you love Jesus, we’re on the same team.” No, Catholics are on their way to a burning Hell in their sacramental salvation!!! Salvation is by faith, not human effort.

These Churches Will Transform Biblical Theology Into Religious Spirituality. Bailey says, “The church as a teaching factor should take the great basic doctrines and (shattering the old forms in which they are expressed and held) show their true and inner spiritual significance.” Whoa! Alice Bailey said that to usher in the New World Order, the churches should change the fundamental doctrines of Christianity into religious forms that put forth New World Order philosophies instead. This is why many churches today are teaching spirituality without Biblical doctrinal soundness and truth. This is why the senior pastor (Miss Gretta Vosper) of the West Hill United Church in Toronto, Canada is a devout atheist!!! She says it’s more important how we treat each other than what we believe. In April of 2014, Melanie Johnson-Debaufre of United Methodist Drew University Theological School and Robert J. Miller of Juniata College appeared as part of the Jesus Seminar on the Road program. These two liberal theologians spoke at the United Methodist Church in Washington DC, presenting their argument why Jesus DIDN’T bodily raise up from the dead. Literally, the Methodist church advertised and held a Resurrection-Denying Seminar!!! This is The Emerging Church today, the fulfillment of Alice Bailey’s sinister plot to infiltrate the churches and exploit them to achieve a New World Order. I wish I could shake every fool-headed pastor, and wake him up to the horrifying reality that Luciferian-worshipping occultists are behind all modern counterfeit Bible versions!!! Satan is using the new corrupt Bible versions to corrupt and change the churches, transforming them from Biblical churches into Satanic false churches. Please watch the 1:46 hour documentary on the attack against the Word of God, Illuminati Plans 2016: The End Of The World.

These Churches Will Have A Superficial Outer Shell, But Lack True Biblical Christianity. Alice Bailey said, “The prime work of the church is to teach, and teach ceaselessly, preserving the outer appearance in order to reach the many who are accustomed to church usages.” Do you see how evil this reprobate woman was? Bailey is teaching that the church is to be exploited, as a whore, to deceive the masses of society. As you just read in her shocking sinister quote, Bailey says that in order to maintain the illusion of a real church (i.e., preserving the outer appearance), there should be a continuous flow of information. Now you know why these Satanic ministers always have another New York Times Best-Seller being sold in your nearest bookstore. The purpose of the New Testament Church is not to incessantly teach as Bailey claims; but rather, the Church is the Christian’s spiritual family. Church is where we hear preaching to mature in the Lord, get comfort, receive encouragement, tithe and go soul-winning. Church is where we exalt the Savior, evangelize the sinner and edify the saints!!! Please read from the awesome, doctrinally sound book, The Purpose Of Going To Church (by Pastor Jack Hyles, 1926-2001). If your church doesn’t have strong-preaching against sin, you’re in a sick church! If your church doesn’t go soul-winning, your in a sick church! If your church uses modern corrupt Bible versions, and teaches the heresy of Lordship Salvation, your in a religious cult!!! Alice Bailey said that apostate churches should PRESERVE “the outer appearance IN ORDER TO REACH [DECEIVE] THE MANY who are accustomed to church usages.” In other words, make it look like a church, but it’s not a real church!!!

My friend, what you just read by Alice Bailey is a manual on how to infiltrate, corrupt and destroy the churches! It is happening now!!! Our churches are in ruins. Evangelist Billy Sunday saw this horrifying trend a century ago in 1914…

“It would be a godsend if the Church would suffer persecution today; she hasn’t
suffered it for hundreds of years. She is growing rich and lagging behind. Going back.”
SOURCE: Billy Sunday, The Need for Revivals, From “Billy Sunday: The Man and His Message,” by William T. Ellis, Philadelphia: John C. Winston Co., 1914.
The average independent Baptist church has been corrupted, using the corrupted modern Bible PERversions instead of recognizing the faithful King James Bible as God’s preserved very pure Words. Psalms 119:140, “Thy word is very pure: therefore thy servant loveth it.” God promised to preserve those very pure Words unto every generation (Psalms 12:6-7). Every modern counterfeit Bible version completely changes this Scripture passage, saying that God preserves the saints instead. BLASPHEMY!!! Since greedy publishers are wickedly butchering the Word of God, and there are literally hundreds of English versions, they had to remove this promise from God from Psalms 12:6-7. The Devil’s hands have been very busy!

The Antichrist will not promote any certain religion. There will not be a One World Religion; but rather, there will be a watering down and diminishing of the churches, melting them into a one world religious philosophy (yet retaining their superficial denominational identities). Non-denominational churches are becoming very popular. Although there is no such thing as “The Baptist Church” (or any other denomination), I like to identify with Independent Fundamental Baptist (first because I am one), and because it gives people an idea of what core beliefs I hold. I sometimes meet people who refuse to tell me what religion or denomination they best align with, but after a few questions I can usually determine who they are. For example: If a man tells me that he believes salvation can be lost, believes in speaking-in-tongues and healing meetings, then I know he’s caught-up in the Charismatic mess.

This was Alice Bailey’s plan, that is, to retain the outer shell of the church, but hollow out the inside and replace it with the New Age mystery religion of the coming Antichrist. The onslaught of the never-ending slew of new counterfeit Bible versions is Satan’s grand accomplishment over the last century, allowing the Devil’s Illuminati to infiltrate, corrupt and kill the churches. We are witnessing the blurring of the lines between evangelical Christianity and all the religions of the world. This is all necessary for the Devil to ready the world for the appearance of the Antichrist. Rick Warren’s “The Purpose Driven Life” (deception) is a blueprint that would make Alice Bailey very proud. The Devil doesn’t jerk the steering wheel; but rather, he is slowly chipping away at Biblical Christianity, so he can replace it with a global religious philosophy. The new religion of “the God of forces” (Daniel 11:38) is all-inclusive of every religion, except Biblical Christianity!!!

Look in any of the new corrupt Bible versions and you’ll find that they change the first coming of Jesus Christ from “the time of reformation” to “THE NEW ORDER”!!! …

NEW INTERNATIONAL VERSION (NIV)—Hebrews 9:10, “They are only a matter of food and drink and various ceremonial washings—external regulations applying until the time of the new order.” [emphasis added]

KING JAMES BIBLE (KJB)—Hebrews 9:10, “Which stood only in meats and drinks, and divers washings, and carnal ordinances, imposed on them until the time of reformation.” [emphasis added]

Clearly they are promoting the New World Order. The 1984 NIV even changed Jesus from the chief cornerstone to “THE CAPSTONE.” Don’t you see my friend how the Devil is changing Jesus into the Antichrist? The NIV 2011 changed it back to cornerstone. The word “Antichrist” doesn’t mean “against Christ”; but rather, “IN PLACE OF” Christ.
In our text verse above, the “power thereof” refers to the Gospel (Good News) of the Lord Jesus Christ. Romans 1:16, “For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.” Tragically, the Catholic idea of penance has crept into our churches, and the plethora of modern counterfeit Bible versions have redefined what it means to “repent.” Instead of a simple “change of mind” that compels a person to believe the Gospel to be saved, the churches have adopted the Satanic idea that a person cannot be saved unless they “change their life” away from sin to be saved. That is 100% human effort and a works-based salvation, not the imputed righteousness of God which is solely by faith. Eternal life is a free gift, which is simply received by faith in Christ’s death on the cross for our sins, His burial, and bodily resurrection the third day (1st Corinthians 15:1-4).
Instead, the emerging churches today are becoming mere religious institutions, having a form of godliness without the power of the Gospel. It appears that most churches are being deceived. The heresy of Lordship Salvation is not compatible with the Gospel. Either a person has to change their behavior to be saved or they don’t. It cannot be both (Romans 11:6). The new counterfeit Bibles say you do. Bless God, Jesus changed my life when I got saved, not me! We are living in a woefully Bible illiterate generation! I’m talking about woefully ignorant evangelists and pastors! The culprit is The Emerging Church which is being taught in all forms of media (magazines, internet, radio, books, television, et cetera). Please watch, The Emerging Church: Satanic False Heresy Of The End Times! (awesome preaching by Pastor Charles Lawson). Here’s the same sermon, but preached at a different time by Dr. Lawson, Beware: The Emerging Church Movement (preached June 2, 2013). Thank God for faithful preachers who have not bowed their knee to Baal!!!

I love you my friend in the Lord, whoever you may be. I sincerely mean that, which is why I work and pray night and day for the Lord to help all my web visitors, pleading for God’s Holy Spirit power to work in your heart as my words speak to your mind. I give all the credit and glory to God alone, who gave me this important ministerial work to do. Your life is a book in progress friend, and I thank you for letting me help write that book. 2nd Corinthians 3:2, “Ye are our epistle written in our hearts, known and read of all men.” You are my joy, my treasure in whom I have invested my time and effort since 2002, to lead you closer to Jesus Christ and the King James Bible. HEAR YE HIM!!! It’s all about Jesus!!! We are so close to the Rapture. The end times are here! Look around you! We must work while it is still day, before the night cometh when no man can work. Time is running out quickly. Get busy for God.
